“I believe healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard and accepted. Therapy can be a place to understand the patterns that keep us feeling stuck, reconnect with who we are and begin creating meaningful change.”

Working Together

I work primarily with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions and times when they may simply feel stuck or disconnected from themselves. My approach is warm, genuine and collaborative. I believe therapy works best when people feel accepted as they are and have room to explore their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment.

Nearly two decades of work in school, outpatient, community-based, in-home, residential and juvenile-justice settings have shaped the way I understand people and the many environments that influence our lives. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on the person in front of me, balancing reflection and deeper exploration with practical tools that can help clients navigate what they are experiencing in everyday life.

I don’t believe you need to arrive at therapy already knowing exactly what is wrong or what needs to change. Sometimes we begin with the feeling that something isn’t working, a pattern keeps repeating or life doesn’t feel the way you want it to. We can become curious about that together.

Areas of Focus & Approach

Areas of focus: Anxiety and emotional overwhelm; trauma; relationships and relational patterns; life transitions; self-esteem and self-understanding; stress; emotional regulation; identity and personal growth.

Approach: Client-centered, relational and trauma-informed therapy drawing from CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and strengths-based approaches. Lauren adapts the work to each client, bringing together curiosity, compassion, practical tools and deeper exploration rather than assuming that one approach works for everyone.
