“I believe therapy can be a place where we become more deeply connected to ourselves—not by eliminating the difficult parts of our experience, but by developing a different relationship with them.”
Working Together
I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, relationships, identity, life transitions and periods of personal growth or change. Many of the people I work with are trying to understand patterns that may once have helped them survive or adapt but no longer feel aligned with the lives or relationships they want to create.
My approach is relational, collaborative and deeply curious. I don’t see therapy as a process in which I hold the answers and give them to you. Instead, I see my role as helping create the conditions in which you can listen more closely to yourself, understand your experiences with greater compassion and clarity, and develop greater trust in your own capacity for insight and wisdom.
My work is strongly influenced by Internal Family Systems and trauma-informed relational approaches. I am interested in the different parts of ourselves that develop in response to our experiences—including the parts we sometimes judge, fear or wish would disappear. Rather than trying to eliminate those parts, we can become curious about what they have been protecting, what they may need and what becomes possible when we relate to ourselves differently.
Therapy with me may include reflection, direct conversation, attention to patterns unfolding in relationships, exploration of how past experiences continue to shape the present and creative explorations of what ignites your vision for your life. I also believe the work we do in therapy matters most when it begins to take root outside of our sessions—in the relationship you have with yourself, the choices you make, the relationships you build and the life you are creating.

Leadership at CFR
Jessica is the Founder and Clinical Director of The Center for Resilience. A clinical social worker and trauma-focused therapist, she founded CFR from a belief that exceptional, deeply personalized therapy should be accessible—and that providing excellent care also requires creating conditions in which therapists can build meaningful, sustainable professional lives.
As Clinical Director, Jessica guides CFR’s clinical vision and organizational development while supporting the relationships, partnerships and ideas that continue to shape its growth. She is especially interested in exploring how healing can extend beyond the therapy room and how clinical practice can remain deeply connected to the people, relationships and communities it serves.
