“I’ve spent much of my professional life working with young children and families, and that experience has deeply shaped the way I understand people. We begin learning about ourselves through relationships—how safe it is to have needs, how we communicate, how we respond when things feel overwhelming, and what we come to expect from ourselves and other people.”
Working Together
I work with people exploring relationships, family life, identity, parenting, life transitions and the ways earlier experiences may continue to influence how they understand themselves and relate to others. I’m interested in what our reactions and patterns may be communicating—not as evidence that something is wrong with us, but as responses that developed within the context of our lives and relationships.
My years working with young children and families have given me a developmental lens that continues to shape my work with people of all ages. I bring particular curiosity to early relationships, attachment and caregiving experiences, while recognizing the complexity of families and resisting simple explanations or blame for how patterns develop.
As a trans and queer therapist, I also understand the importance of having space to explore identity without having to explain or defend who you are. My style is warm, grounded and reflective, with room for complexity, humor and the understanding that change is something we build over time rather than something we force.
