“I believe people do best when they feel valued, supported and treated with dignity. My work is grounded in compassion, accountability and helping people recognize the strengths and resources they can draw on as they navigate difficult experiences and relationships.”

Working Together

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families navigating trauma, relationship and family challenges, parenting concerns, life transitions and experiences that can leave people feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from one another. My approach is compassionate, direct and strengths-based, with an emphasis on creating a space where people feel respected while also being supported in exploring patterns, relationships and possibilities for change.

My work has been shaped by nearly three decades of experience with children and families across child welfare, foster care, residential, school and community settings. Those experiences have taught me to look beyond a presenting problem and consider the relationships, histories, environments and systems surrounding a person or family. I am particularly interested in helping families strengthen relationships, understand one another more fully and identify resources they can draw upon during difficult periods.

I also bring extensive experience supporting young people and families affected by trauma, family disruption and other complex circumstances. Whether I am working with an individual, couple or family, I try to balance compassion with accountability—honoring what people have been through while helping them recognize the choices, strengths and possibilities available to them now.
