Working Together
Welcome to the part where I attempt to convey my therapeutic essence to strangers on the internet whilst being mindful of not sounding like a robot. Not my strongest skill. So if you’ve made it this far—thank you and hello.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 17 years in human services and six years as an adult therapist. My past roles include supporting people in vulnerable moments—survivors of abuse, disaster victims, geriatric clients, and adults/teens with disabilities (24-hour caregiver and art teacher). I used creative problem-solving to provide safety, dignity, comfort, and connection, shaping my therapeutic approach.
I help clients rebuild confidence, trust themselves, and advocate for their needs while considering how systemic oppression around race, class, gender, and ability shape experience. We’ll explore stress responses, relationships, and body connection, using a gentle, collaborative approach to gain practical insights you can apply daily.
I believe it is critical for clients to find the right fit therapist for them and any reason you don’t like a therapist is valid. If you decide after one, five, or a hundred sessions with me that I’m not the right fit, I hope to help you feel empowered enough to try again until you feel secure and supported in the ways that work best for you.
