Comprehensive therapy, support, and educational services on the path from pain to power.
Our clinical interventions and psychotherapy guide clients to build on their strengths and shape the direction of their own healing and empowerment.

Exceptional therapy.
Rooted in community.
The Center for Resilience provides deeply personalized therapy grounded in relationship, collaboration and the belief that exceptional care should be accessible to everyone.
Who We Are
The Center for Resilience is a community-rooted clinical practice committed to creating opportunities for healing both within and beyond the therapy room.
Our work is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, dignity and trust, and in honoring each person's lived experience and capacity for insight, wisdom and growth.
Through therapy, community partnerships, leadership development and other collaborative experiences, we work alongside individuals and communities to create opportunities for connection, healing, repair and possibility.

Therapy at CFR
Therapy should feel deeply personal.
We believe meaningful therapy begins with the relationship between client and therapist. Our clinicians bring different identities, lived experiences, areas of expertise and ways of working, allowing clients to find someone whose approach feels right for them.
Therapy at CFR is collaborative and responsive to each person’s needs and goals. Rather than assuming there is one way therapy should look, our therapists draw from a range of clinical approaches while working alongside clients to explore what feels most meaningful and useful.
We provide individual, couples, family and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults, with telehealth available throughout Massachusetts and in-person options depending on therapist availability.

Why CFR?
We believe the conditions surrounding therapy matter.
Exceptional therapy is shaped not only by what happens in a session, but by the relationships, choices and conditions that make meaningful healing possible.
Exceptional Care Should Be Accessible
A person’s insurance or ability to pay privately should not determine the quality of therapy available to them. CFR is committed to expanding equitable access to excellent, individualized care.
Your Therapy Should Feel Like the Right Fit
The relationship between client and therapist matters. We encourage clients to participate actively in choosing who they work with and shaping a therapeutic process that feels meaningful to them.
Supported Therapists Provide Better Care
Therapists need conditions that allow them to remain present, creative and connected to their work. Supporting clinicians with autonomy, community and meaningful support is part of how we provide excellent client care.
Healing Happens in Context
People don’t heal in isolation. Relationships, families, identities, communities and environments all shape our lives, and meaningful healing often involves strengthening the relationships, resources and experiences that support us beyond therapy.

Getting started with therapy should feel clear and accessible.
CFR accepts public and private health insurance as well as private pay, helping make deeply personalized therapy available to more people.
We offer telehealth throughout Massachusetts, with in-person therapy in Holyoke and Hadley depending on therapist availability. Therapy is available in English and Spanish.
Every new client has the opportunity for a free 15-minute consultation with a potential therapist before deciding whether the relationship feels like the right fit.

Meaningful work should also be sustainable work.
CFR is building a different kind of clinical practice—one where therapists can remain deeply connected to the communities they serve while having the autonomy, flexibility and support to build sustainable professional lives.
Our therapists are part of a collaborative clinical community with opportunities for connection, consultation, learning and growth. At the same time, clinicians have meaningful autonomy to shape their practices in ways that reflect their strengths, interests, goals and the lives they want to live outside of work.
We believe that supporting therapists in building sustainable, fulfilling careers strengthens the quality and continuity of care we are able to offer our clients and communities.
“As a mother of two, I appreciate the flexibility to create my own schedule, build meaningful relationships with my clients, and still have the support and resources of an agency behind me.”
— Elizabeth Rivera, LCSW

Therapeutic experiences can happen anywhere.
Therapy can be transformative, but some of the experiences that shape healing happen outside of a therapy session—in relationships, families, creative spaces, community, leadership experiences and moments of connection, reflection and growth.
At CFR, we are interested in helping to create and support opportunities for those experiences to happen. Through community partnerships, collaborative projects and leadership development, we work alongside individuals and organizations to explore what healing, connection and possibility can look like beyond traditional clinical care.
This work takes different forms as relationships and ideas evolve. Sometimes CFR helps bring clinical knowledge, resources or support to an idea already growing within the community. Sometimes we build something collaboratively. And sometimes an idea that begins within CFR becomes stronger through the knowledge, creativity and leadership of others.
